Que.1 What did the happy prince do to the sapphire?
Ans- The Happy Prince helped a seamstress by sending his  great ruby through the swallow. Then he requested the swallow to take out a sapphire from his eye and give it  to a playwright who was about to faint because of hunger and cold. Another sapphire was sent to the match girl. Now the Happy Prince became blind.

Que. 2. Describe the scene when there came snow.
Answer-2 when the snow came, and after the snow came the frost. The streets looked as if they were made of silver.  Everybody went about in  furs,and  the little boys wore scarlet caps and skated on the ice.


Que.3.What happened with the seamstress little boy?
Answer- He has a fever, and is asking for oranges. His  mother has nothing to give him but river water, so he is crying. When the swallow arrives at the poor house, Wilde writes that he boy was tossing feverishly on his bed, and the mother had fallen asleep, she  was so tired.

Que.4 how did the Mayor and the town councillors describe the statue of the happy prince?
Ans-The Mayor and the  Town Councillors were shocked to see the dull looking statue of the Happy Prince bereft of  his sapphire eyes, ruby-studded sword hilt and gold leaves. They decided to pull it down because it looked much too shabby and beggarly,  and was no longer beautiful or useful.

Que.5 what were the two most precious things according to the angels? What did god do to them?
Answer-When God asked one of the angels to bring him the two most precious things in the city, the angel brought him the  leaden heart and the dead bird. God appreciates the angel's decision and said that the  little bird would forever sing in his  garden of Paradise and the Happy Prince would praise him in his city of gold.

Que. 6 why did the happy prince request the swallow to stay on for another day?
Ans-  The Prince first asked the swallow to stay on for the  night when he had seen the poor seamstress and  her sick son. The Prince's feet were fastened to the pedestal and he could not move. So, he needed the help  of swallow in bringing relief and joy to the seamstress and her hungry and sick son.
